This project aimed to develop a datalogger capable of recording data on the Ethereum blockchain. By integrating this technology, the project ensures the security and immutability of the recorded data, allowing sensor readings installed on boats to be stored directly on the blockchain. This approach prevents any form of tampering, guaranteeing the authenticity of the collected information.
The main objectives were:
- Ensure the integrity and authenticity of the data: To ensure that the data collected by the dataloggers is reliable and cannot be manipulated.
- Create a proof of concept: To demonstrate the feasibility of using blockchain as a secure method for data recording.
- Offer an innovative solution for real-time monitoring: To provide a tool where trust in the data is crucial, especially in critical environments such as navigation.
The key features of this solution are:
- Security: The system offers protection against data tampering, ensuring that sensor readings are authentic and verifiable.
- Immutability: Once data is recorded on the blockchain, it cannot be altered, promoting transparency and trust in the information.
- Reliability: This solution is particularly suitable for environments where data accuracy is essential, such as monitoring sensors on boats, allowing for effective and secure information management.
With this project, the intention was not only to innovate in the way data is collected and stored but also to contribute to the evolution of security and trust practices in monitoring technologies.
